Amy was so personable while maintaining her professionalism. Her support meant so much to me and my sister, our children and extended family. She was sympathetic to the difficulties we had managing our mother, who had late onset dementia and was not a pleasant human.
She meant a great deal to our father, a holocaust survivor. He was so touched when Amy sang songs from his childhood to him. She gave him the peace that he did not have throughout his life. He learned that his family was most important and to be cherished.

Amy was always there for me whenever I had a question or just needed a kind ear to listen. My father always brightened up with her visits.

Working with Amy Altshuld during my father’s hospice care was an unexpected gift. From the start, she formed a genuine connection with him, one he trusted and found comfort in.
Amy’s kindness, sensitivity, and knowledge helped my siblings and me understand what to expect and how to respond, step by step. She explained things plainly, honored my dad’s wishes, and gave us the reassurance we needed to focus on being a family. Because of Amy, a very difficult time felt more manageable. We are deeply grateful.

Amy’s spiritual care and guidance wasn’t forced or formulaic; it was deeply human. She made space for our emotions without trying to fix them, and in doing so, helped us find a sliver of peace in the midst of heartache. She seemed to know exactly what we needed, even when we didn’t.
We are forever grateful for the grace, sensitivity, and wisdom she brought into our lives during such a painful, stressful, and difficult time.
